Rosé Holiday Cocktail
This is one of the new wine cocktails where the wine is the focal point, and is actually heightened in the blend. Rosé has always been thought of as a summer staple, but we like to drink it at this time of year as well, though we like to add a pop to it. By this time of year too, the rosé has become quite a bit redder, the perfect color for a holiday drink. For this cocktail we use a bit of vodka, a bit of soda and a single frozen raspberry or cranberry (preferably chosen to suit the style of the wine in that year). What’s ideal about this cocktail is that it doesn’t take away from the wine at all, it simply eventuates its qualities; the vodka making the flavor pop and the frozen fruit simply adding to what’s already there. Top it off with a sugar rim on your glass and you’ve got yourself a very pretty, and delicious holiday cocktail
