Rett Wills -
Originally from Toronto, Rett has been playing professional guitar in the Quinte area since moving to south-eastern Ontario thirty years ago.
He began playing guitar at twelve, listening to blues artists such as Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. J.J. Cale was a big influence on Rett’s style as well.
For the past year he’s been building a jazz repetoire for a broader audience appeal.
Today, besides playing solo, Rett has formed the ”NORTHERN VOODOO TRIO” with Gene Latimer, drums and Mike “Ace” Acerra on upright bass.
The Voodoo Trio’s style ranges from finger-picked American Songbook standards, through to J.J. Cale, Blues and Rock and Roll for private cocktail/dinner events, winerys, restaurants and dances.
See the “song samples” page for pictures and samples of Rett’s solo playing and Northern Voodoo Trio songs.
Grange Summer Series Robert Keyes

U.S. based guitarist Robert Keyes has been performing his brand of Solo-Guitar for more than three decades. When finding gigs was becoming increasingly more difficult, and most musicians were going the solo route primarily for economic reasons, he stayed true to his craft, gradually developing and honing his unique and diverse approach. He’s drawn accolades
from luminaries such as Lyle lovett, Sir John McVie of Fleetwood Mac & Oscar winning actor Lou Gossett Jr.
One’s first impression is that there are two guitars playing. The
ability to pull this off didn’t come overnight and Keyes admits that, although working out songs in a solo environment can be both frustrating and painstaking, the rewards and sense of achievement when you pull it off, are well worth all the time, energy and effort. Performances with R&B diva Deborah Cox, Jazz Vocalist Holly Cole and the late, great composer, pianist Hagood Hardy (“The Homecoming”), are also evidence that he is comfortable & quite capable in the band format. But Keyes says he relishes his solo gigs, where Jazz, Classical, Pop, Blues,
and a “plethora” of other styles are cleverly blended into surprisingly complete arrangements.
” With guitar in hand and an open mind, anything is possible. I view the guitar as my “mini-orchestra” and what most would consider a colossal challenge, I consider a labor of love”, he states.
