A visit to The Grange is more than wine tasting; it is a unique experience of a region. Prince Edward County Ontario’s newest wine region designated by the province in July of 2007 with over 27 wineries open this year. It is a unique agrarian region with a long history of agriculture and a vibrant rural economy. There are over artists studios, 2 cheese factories, and many food producers for you to discover. We invite you to really experience our vineyards and discover for yourself why the soil in this region is exceptional for growing grapes; in fact get your own hands dirty and join us for a morning in the vineyard or a harvest day. Taste local at lunch with picnics featuring ingredients grown on County farms which you can enjoy overlooking the pond or on a blanket back the lane. Learn about the history and culture of Prince Edward County while sipping wine in our loyalist barn built in 1826. Local artists share their work in our loft gallery and our winemaker opens his cellar to wine club members monthly. Whatever your interests let us share our experiences with you.

Spend an afternoon at our picturesque vineyards and estate winery; stroll through some of our 60 acres of rolling vineyards, enjoy wine tastings in our dramatic historical tasting bar, housed in a 19th century barn and relax in the tranquil pastoral setting. A visit to the Grange is a chance to go back to a slower pace, and an opportunity to enjoy simpler things.
On our Tour and Tasting you will experience the vineyards on a scenic walking tour; walk back the country lane and see several of our vineyards and learn the unique challenges and possibilities of growing grapes in Prince Edward County. Back at the winery learn about the wine making process, following the grape from the harvest through to the barrel. See how wine-making is both an art and a science. And then join us in the tasting room in the old hayloft, where you will have a guided tasting of three distinct VQA wines that we offer.
